Catherine “Cathy” Connolly of CJ Connolly Forensic Accounting has joined Marc Powers and the Litigation, Valuation and Forensic Accounting team at Purdy Powers & Company. This collaboration brings together significant forensic accounting and valuation expertise, providing clients with tremendous resources to tackle their toughest legal and business challenges.

Now a member of Purdy Powers & Company, Cathy has provided services for entities ranging from smaller, privately-owned operations to publicly traded entities with international operations. These services are critical in matters involving litigation, law enforcement inquiries, and fraud investigations.

“Covering all the angles has become even more important to our clients,” Cathy said. “Joining forces with Marc and team is such a natural fit. If only we’d thought of it sooner!”

Prior to joining Purdy Powers & Company, Cathy founded CJ Connolly, a forensic accounting firm serving clients in the New England region (Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire & Vermont). Previously, Cathy was with StoneTurn for 14 years, where she was a Partner dedicated to developing the firm’s forensic accounting practice on the West Coast. Cathy began her career at two Big Four firms.

Marc Powers, head of Purdy Powers’ Litigation, Valuation and Forensic Accounting team, is an established leader in the region’s valuation and related litigation and forensic accounting services. He has over 30 years of experience performing more than 300 valuations for a wide range of clients, including those in professional services, manufacturing, retail, cannabis. He has also worked extensively with entrepreneurial businesses in Maine.
